SLP full length LS 1 Headers

The engineers at SLP Performance Parts have done their homework. SLP is proud to announce the release of the industry's first full length headers made with tuned tube lengths for LS1 powered Camaro and Firebirds. The length of each header tube was calculated to maximize scavenging from the exhaust. The tube lengths allow each exhaust pulse to create a vacuum in the collector at precisely the same time as the next firing cylinder's valve opens. This acts to pull the exhaust gas pulse out of the cylinder. The result is more efficient exhaust scavenging which translates to faster revs and increased torque and horsepower. While equal length headers are good, tuned length headers are the ultimate! SLP's new headers utilize stainless steel 1 3/4" primary tubes into a 3" stainless steel collector, then the headers are COATED with a CERAMIC THERMAL BARRIER high luster coating. The headers utilize OE style and quality flanges, and are completely compatible with EGR, oxygen sensor and air pump systems. SLP has also designed a new stainless steel 3" y-pipe to work specifically with the headers. The y-pipe requires our optional high flow catalytic converters or quick change race pipes as well as our installation kit.

SLP "Loud Mouth" 1998-01 F-Car LS1

SLP has just completed production of a new, significantly more muscular sounding cat-back exhaust system for all 1998-2001 LS1-powered Camaros and Firebirds. SLP's new exhaust system features a newly designed resonator which replaces the muffler and was created for the F-car owner who's looking for increased power and a more musclecar-like sound. This new exhaust system offers up to a 25 hp gain at the flywheel and is a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock exhaust system. Manufactured from mandrel bent stainless steel with your choice of either a stainless-steel, 3.5" slash cut or 2.5" dual/dual tips, SLP's new exhaust system is designed for those looking for both increased performance and enhanced appearance. SLP's "Loud Mouth" LS1 cat-back exhaust is easy to bolt-on and includes all necessary hardware, a limited lifetime warranty and detailed instructions to complete the installation.

Y-Pipe, Larger Diameter 2000-02 LS-1 Camaro/Firebird

If you're looking for more power from your 1998-02 LS1 Camaro or Firebird, SLP Performance Parts now offers a new Stainless Steel Y-pipe that can help produce up to an additional 10 horsepower from your F-body's LS1. SLP's new Y-pipe is manufactured from mandrel-bent 2.5" stainless steel tubing, and is designed as a direct replacement for the factory pipe. This new Y-pipe attaches directly to your engine's factory catalytic converters and exhaust, and provides a substantial increase in flow and efficiency. Compared to the factory part, SLP's Y-pipe relies on smoother bends and larger diameter tubing to provide the gains it does. As with all SLP exhaust products, this new Y-Pipe includes a limited lifetime warranty.
